Some songs begin with answers.
This one began with a question.
Have I ever truly been at home with myself?
Me, My Oldest Friend is probably the most personal song I’ve written so far.
Not because it tells my story.
But because it quietly asks a question that may belong to all of us.
For years I searched for “home” in places, in people, and in the future.
Only to discover that perhaps the longest journey is the one back to yourself.
If this song creates even a brief moment of reflection…
then it has already found its purpose.
